A safe space to feel heard and understood
I believe that every person deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone. Finding the right counsellor is an important part of the journey, and my aim is to offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
About Me
I'm Vicky, an Integrative Relational Counsellor, and at the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through connection. When we experience a relationship where we feel genuinely heard, understood and accepted, meaningful and lasting change becomes possible.
Before training as a counsellor, I spent over 25 years working as a holistic therapist. During that time, I saw first-hand how closely our emotional and physical wellbeing are connected. This experience continues to shape the way I work today, recognising the importance of supporting the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms.
I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling and am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my knowledge and practice continue to evolve. Alongside my degree, I have undertaken additional training in areas including neurodiversity, domestic abuse, safeguarding, suicide prevention and online counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its Ethical Framework, ensuring my practice is safe, ethical and centred around the wellbeing of every client.
Alongside my private practice, I have experience counselling within the NHS and supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse. I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, grief, loss and life transitions.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodiversity. Alongside my professional experience, my own family life has given me a deeper understanding of the unique strengths and challenges that neurodivergent individuals and their families can experience. I strive to create an environment where clients feel understood, respected and free to be themselves, without fear of judgement or the need to mask who they are.

My approach is integrative and relational, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor therapy to your individual needs. Every person is unique, and I believe counselling should reflect that. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, we will work together to understand your experiences, build on your strengths and explore what healing looks like for you.
Above all, I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of effective therapy. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity and respect, offering a space where you can make sense of your experiences, discover your own strengths, and move towards the life you want to create.
If you're considering counselling, I hope this is the beginning of finding the support that's right for you. Whenever you're ready, I'll be here to welcome you.
"It is the relationship that heals"
Irvin D. Yalom
You don't have to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.
Many people come to therapy because they're feeling overwhelmed, anxious or struggling to cope, but others come because they feel stuck, disconnected, are repeating unhelpful patterns in relationships, or simply want a space to better understand themselves. Whatever has brought you here, your experiences are valid, and you don't have to wait until things feel unbearable before asking for support.
No two people are the same, so I believe therapy shouldn't be either. I tailor each session to your individual needs, working at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
While talking is often at the heart of counselling, there are times when words alone don't fully capture our thoughts, feelings or experiences. Where it feels appropriate and helpful, I may gently introduce creative ways of working, such as using imagery, metaphor, drawing, objects or other reflective exercises. These approaches are always offered as an invitation rather than an expectation, and you are never required to use them if they don't feel right for you.
I welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations and relationship styles, and I strive to offer an LGBTQ+ affirming and inclusive therapeutic space.
I am committed to providing an inclusive and neurodiversity-affirming practice. I recognise that everyone experiences and processes the world differently, and I aim to adapt my approach to meet your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into a particular way of working.
Whether that means allowing extra processing time, being flexible in how we communicate, incorporating creativity, or simply creating a space where you don't feel the need to mask who you are, our work together will be guided by what feels most supportive for you.
Above all, I believe therapy is a collaborative relationship where you can explore your experiences safely, discover your own strengths, and work towards the changes that matter most to you.

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults in a safe, welcoming and confidential environment. Sessions are available either face-to-face from my counselling room in Wallington, Surrey, or online via a secure video platform, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs.
I welcome clients from Wallington, Sutton, Carshalton, Purley, Banstead, Croydon, Cheam, Mitcham and the surrounding areas, as well as offering online counselling to clients across the UK.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll explore what has brought you to counselling, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and consider how we might work together. It is also a chance for you to ask any questions and decide whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
There is no expectation to commit to ongoing sessions after our initial meeting. Finding a counsellor you feel comfortable with is an important part of the therapeutic process.

How Often Will We Meet?
Counselling sessions are usually held weekly, as this provides consistency and helps build the therapeutic relationship. However, I recognise that everyone has different needs, and we can discuss together what feels most appropriate for you.
I work in an open-ended way, which means there is no set number of sessions. Some people come with a specific issue they would like support with and find that short-term counselling meets their needs. Others choose to work longer term, allowing more time to explore deeper or longstanding patterns and experiences.
We will regularly review our work together to ensure therapy continues to meet your needs and support the changes you hope to make.
Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes.
